Our stay at Vallakot Farm Guesthouse was exceptional. The location was ideal for exploring the north of Iceland, with easy access to Husavik and Myvatn. The owners were lovely and made us feel right at home. The room we stayed in was like a cozy studio apartment, complete with a fridge, stove, and cooking utensils. They even provided paper towels, which was a thoughtful touch. The bathroom was spacious and clean, and the wifi was fast. The homemade breakfast served each morning was absolutely delicious, with a variety of options including homemade jams and waffles. We even had the opportunity to use the hot tub, which was a great bonus. our experience at Vallakot Farm Guesthouse was wonderful and I would highly recommend it for a comfortable and welcoming stay in the north of Iceland.

The breakfast was delicious and plentiful, really setting us up for the day. What we also appreciated was access to the hot tub, that was great for chilling out in after a long day of exploring. the location was also spot on, very close to some of the main attractions in the local area.
We found the room to be quite basic, it lacked character and didn't seem to have much personality. There was also a lot of noise coming from outside our room, specifically from other guests who were very inconsiderate in terms of noise levels at certain times of the day.

The location is perfect for exploring the north of Iceland with Husavik and Myvatn only 30 mins away. Last but not least - breakfast with homemade waffles was a real treat!
No negative aspects to mention - this hotel exceeded all expectations!

This guesthouse is perfectly located near the beautiful Myvatn area, close to Godafoss waterfalls and all the sights in the diamond circle. the rooms are new, clean, and comfortable, with modern and stylish decor. the hosts provide a delicious breakfast with homemade treats like smoked trout, waffles, and jams. Guests can also enjoy the outdoor hot tub and the cozy living room. Definitely a great option for exploring the stunning surroundings.
The guesthouse is a bit far from dining options, so guests might have to drive to find a restaurant.
